Children at risk of health:
Street children face significant
health hazards as they endure the adversities of their environment, braving the
sun and rain in summer and harsh cold during winter, often leading to
conditions like pneumonia. Living on the streets, they lack access to
guaranteed safe water, exposing them to waterborne diseases such as diarrhea,
jaundice, and typhoid. Malnutrition is prevalent among them due to insufficient
access to nutritious food, making them vulnerable to minor ailments.
There is no cure for lack of money:
Regrettably, the lack of
financial resources makes it uncertain for these children to have three meals a
day, and medical expenses become an impossibility. A considerable number of
underprivileged children, dispersed throughout the city, are deprived of
essential medical care.
The role of Chayatal Bangladesh in ensuring health care:
Chayatal Bangladesh plays a
crucial role in ensuring healthcare for these vulnerable children. The
organization conducts a monthly medical camp in various slums, providing
medical assistance to those in need. Additionally, Chayatal Bangladesh supports
249 students and their families by supplying free essentials like soap,
sanitary napkins, and medicine. The organization also focuses on health
awareness, providing guidelines specifically tailored for the well-being of
girl children. Through these initiatives, Chayatal Bangladesh strives to
enhance the health and overall well-being of underprivileged children and their
families.
