Education for Change, Education for Hope
Education is not just about textbooks it is the foundation of a child’s life. Yet, in our society, many children are still deprived of this fundamental right. Many of them grow up in slums where there are no schools and no learning environment.
To change this reality, Chayatal Bangladesh, in collaboration with HBB, established the HBB–Chayatal Literacy Center in March 2022 a dream initiative that brings the light of education to underprivileged children.
Our Journey
The Literacy Center began with just 55 children, offering them a safe place to learn. Today, it has grown into a learning home for 69 children from Nama Bosti, Chand Uddyan, Dhaka an area where no school existed before.
Now these children are attending classes every day in a safe, joyful, and child-friendly environment. Here they are not just learning letters they are learning to dream and build their future.
Our Goals and Objectives

What We Do

Provide basic education reading, writing, and arithmetic.

Engage trained teachers for regular lessons.

Promote health and hygiene awareness and provide essential supplies.

Arrange co-curricular activities to make learning joyful and interactive.

Conduct regular meetings with parents to build awareness and involvement.

Celebrate special days, including Children’s Day, to foster social engagement.
Financial Support
This project is fully supported by HBB’s annual financial contribution. With this generous support, we are able to cover teacher salaries, educational materials, hygiene kits, rent, monitoring, and other operational costs.
Through this continued support, we can ensure uninterrupted learning opportunities for underprivileged children and we hope to include even more children in the future.
Our Vision
We dream of a day when these children will stand on their own feet and contribute to the nation’s development. They will not be seen as a burden, they will be seen as an asset. Lighting the spark of education in a child’s life is the first step to lighting up an entire community.
